Lounge access at Maimi?
Hi
I am flying MIA-IAH-LHR in October. The first segment is in economy (waitlisted for First), the second segment is BusinessFirst.
Do Continental give "same day lounge access" for passengers flying onwards in BusinessFirst (i.e. should we be able to get access to a lounge at MIA)? If so, which lounge do Continental use ta MIA?
Thanks
Boo

You should have access on account of your same day BF ticket. The lounge would be the Delta CRC.

the delta crc at miami is nothing more then a closet with chairs and a tv in it. you have to go outside to use the bathroom, and the bar looks like an actual coat closet with a bar infront of it.
so just don't expect much

Sounds like the bar at the RDU CRC.

Never been there... but that's pretty funny to read considering the large number of large signs on the concourse for the CRC.

Thanks - what a funny little lounge! Not quite the Delta Crown Room at MCO, is it?
Useful to know that - might still be a haven in MIA...
Thanks

The CRC is a big JOKE in Miami. Last year I finished the Miami Half Marathon and was looking for a good place to relax before the flight. Oh My Gosh. This place made me even cramp up more. I guess I am spoiled because I am used to seeing a good quality Presidents Club.

Actually I don't think that you will get access in MIA unless you are ST Elite. When I was last in the MIA CRC they told me that the rennovation was almost complete and that they would soon be moving to a real CRC upstairs. Based on the above posts I am guessing that has not happened yet. Of course you will have full lounge access in IAH.

All international First and Business Class passengers travelling on a same day international flight operated by a SkyTeam member have access to these exclusive facilities.
No elite status is required for access while traveling on an International flight if in a premium cabin. There are some caveats to that with regard to regional travel (Caribbean/Mexico/Canada), but overall it is accurate.

Does anyone know how this has changed since the * change? I'm flying MIA-EWR and would like to know if there is lounge access at MIA. I am UA * Gold, and hold a RCC membership. The Continental Website says there is a contract lounge, but doesn't give much information.
