Check ID?
Hi, does anyone know how often the people at the front of the club check to make sure you are over 21 when you use amex plat to get in. I am not 21 yet, and i dont care about alcohol, but i want to get into the club. If they do check id, how likely are they to not allow me in if im dressed neat and am nice to them?
Also, what about the other lounges that amex plat gets you into (not including admirals)
thanks

You'll always get ID'd, but it's not clear the agent will check the age - they're primarily interested to see your name matches up with the one on the Amex and the boarding pass (and I only get asked for BP about 70% of the time). At the main EWR PC, I often get asked my age or "are you over 21?" after they return my ID, but it never happens at any other PC.

As a backup, perhaps post on here (the Pclub thread) and you could go in with someone over 21 so there would be no issue.

I've seen bartenders card at IAH, which implies that (1) they don't trust the credentialing agent to do it, (2) they think you might be slamming your drink before returning to sit with your parents or (3) they fear sneaky TABC officials and know their company's PC contract is up for bid.
Does your state's ID have "Under 21" stamped across it or anything like that that would have them look harder? You could always use your passport... It's always hard to find info there.
