now with the possible UA link-up, it makes the decison even tougher..
FYI-I posted on the DL thread too and basically have come away with a few things
- Def a much better chance of upgrades on DL in the NYC area
- CO still has a better overall product, esp in BF, but DL getting better (AVODon 757/737)
- While JFK isn't great, the rush hour tarmac jams aren't as bad as EWR, and JFK can handle the weather better
- Terminal C is much nicer then terminal 2/3
- CRC vs PC seems to be more personal preference

There will be so many of them because of the EQM double miles. I hear continuously how one cannot get upgrades on CO because there are too many elites. Just think how much less you will be able to do upgrades or reward travel on DL because every Tom, Dick and Harriott achieved plat status while traveling BIS silver miles but earned double for it! Welcome to Delta!
I don't know where to go to run away from all the "Double EQM elite herds"!

And UA also offered a double MQM promo, just to ensure that both possible CO partners are covered. AA and UA had more lenient promo rules than DL, as well. And what is the worst case scenario? That upgrade rates on AA, UA, and DL drop to CO levels? If one is concerned about too many elites, then becoming an ex-EWR CO elite is about the worst choice one could make.

you probably have some options since you live in NYC - at least airport wise. Frankly LGA is a dump in any terminal. I havent been to JFK in a while (live in NJ) but getting there is a pain if you are driving. The airtrain to EWR strikes me as easier than getting to LGA or JFK
All three airports are bad for delays since they operate in the same airspace. They may be some local problems (one runway. fog) but they happen at all three
The reason to change is the schedule you need to do business. Is DL better than CO? That is your answer
