I'm always amazed when DL changes its branding and livery every 3-4 years. It seems like they can remove every old DL logo and replace it at ATL overnight, yet they never can get their planes all painted the same. They also seem to be incapable of consistently completing their aircraft interior refurbishments as well.

Just think if the DL/NW merger happens, we could see up to six liveries on DL/NW aircraft at the same time. There would be the current new DL, the old DL ("waving flag"), the old old DL (blue tail with "Delta Air Lines" on the fuselage), the hybrid DL/NW silver (current NW livery), the hybrid DL/NW red (old NW livery), and possibly a sixth brand new DL/New Global Airline livery. And just about the time they get it down to two or three designs, they'll change it again.
DL would be a far better airline to fly if they spent some of that money paying for a completely new livery and marketing campaign every 3-4 years into their actual product.

CO is somewhat guilty of this as well. There's the big display promoting the "new" ERJ-145 at one of the gates at DAL (not nearly as impressive now after ExpressJet took the huge ERJ model away though). And even better than that is the fading, yellowed sign at the entrance to CO's check-in lines at MSP pushing use of e-tickets, which has probably been standing there since 1996. I first saw it nearly two years ago and every trip to MSP I see it, still there. I haven't been in the CO check-in line at MSP since late December, but I'm flying CO out of MSP in the morning, and will definitely look to see if they've taken it down yet.

I LOVE our livery. It will be sad to see it go in a merger.
As an employee, I would love new uniforms, these came out in 1989 afterall. But honestly, staying in business is enough to keep me happy right now. So new uniforms can definately wait.

EWR terminal C is also better than any other terminal in the NY area that I've seen, at least presumably until B6 gets their new terminal done at JFK. Given the constraints they have to work with under the Port Authority, I think it looks pretty good. I can't imagine sitting in the old part of LGA every week. Even the newer US and NW/DL terminals over there have gone to crap.
