Flight availability differences between carrier websites

I am trying to book AUS-AUA on CO.com and there are three main routings, AUS-IAH-AUA, AUS-EWR-AUA, and AUS-ATL-AUA (DL).

When looking at AUS-ATL-AUA flight, it shows the first half as being available only in Economy, even though I am searching for First. Going to the DL website and trying the same thing, I get the same routing all in first for the same price as on CO.com.

I can't figure out if CO.com is assuming that "R" class on DL is First or what.

The other strange anomaly with this whole thing is that the return is only available on DL.com through JFK, whereas the DL return on CO.com shows the ATL routing.

Should I book the tickets and call CO.com support or will they even be able to do anything if half of the ticket is on DL?

Well you are not getting the "! There are no First/BusinessFirst/International Business Class seats available on CO*** in the Austin, TX (AUS) to Atlanta, GA (ATL) market." so I would assume you are fine. I would call co.com support and explain the problem first before you book as it looks like the tickets are non-refundable. One thing that concerns me is that co.com does not list an R fare for a Continental Airlines (CO) flight number on ticket for Delta Air Lines-operated flights.

Thanks for the reply!

Your worry is my worry. I don't see an R fare listed anywhere.

Any idea on why DL.com would only show the returns through JFK (that require an overnight) while CO.com shows returns through ATL?

Searching just now I see the return available via ATL without the forced overnight. My guess is that it will or will not show based on inventory, especially if you are searching for F/J seats.

It is quite possible that DL does not fly daily to AUA ? Hence ATL / JFK ?

I doubt that is it as the return through ATL shows up on CO.com but not through DL.com.
