Missing Mileage Request - Time to Post

Learned something new. Others may know already. For partner airlines, Continental will not post before 30 days after the flight. You can submit your request and they may agree that it will be posted, but not until the 30 days has passed.

True to form, I received my missing mileage overnight just as I was advised last week.

I'm missing OP mileage credit from a DL flight from back in December...I filled out the form and sent in the stuff in Jan and am still waiting for the mileage credit. I've had trouble before getting OP miles for DL flights but normally filling out the form and sending it in takes care of it...but not this time.

Suggest calling the OPSC to ask as to status. If they denied it, they should be able to tell you. If they didn't receive it (more likely, I'm guessing), then you know to refile it.

When providing your OP number for Delta flights, be sure that your elite tier is displayed on the boarding pass (if you are elite). If your elite tier does not show up but only your OP number and you are elite, ask the gate agent to remove your OP number and then re-input your OP number. Then the system recognizes you as an elite customer but more importantly, it links properly with the CO system so that your miles post automatically. This has just been my experience and has been actually tested by me.

30 days to post

is that true, that partner flights will not post before 30 days? always or only if you do retroactive mileage credit?
