Thumbs up ATL PC Open Again

Just got off my CO IAH-ATL flight and was prepared to head for another concourse to hit a DL CRC while waiting for my NW flight to DTW. As I walked past the PC, I noticed that the "closed for renovations" sign is gone, so I checked the door, and sure enough, the club is open again. The agent at the front desk said today is their first day back open.

It's basically the same, from what I can remember. Despite being in this airport all the time over the last six months, I haven't been in the PC in a while, because I tend to arrive at ATL for my outbound flight with just enough time to check in, clear security, and arrive at the gate 5-10 minutes before boarding. But the bar area has been redone, there's more seating, and it looks like some of the chairs that were showing their age have been replaced. Overall it's not a huge change, and there's not a huge amount of extra space, but it does look like it's been refreshed.

Now if they'd just beef up the Internet in here a little...

Not that I've noticed. There's a mystery door in the expanded seating area (the old conference room I think) but it has no sign. If it is a restroom, it's probably a single stall, unisex toilet. The sign about restrooms being located across the hall outside the club is still posted at the front door as you enter.

If they did anything, it should have been to put in a restroom. Very inconvenient not to have one in the club.

Restrooms at the ATL President's Club? Bah!
Why do you suppose there's wastebaskets under the work desks?

Yes sbm12, although the space was limited, we were able to add a single unisex bathroom inside the clubroom.

And it is spacious and comfy...
There is no lock on the door yet. Just a handwritten sign: Please knock before entering!

I really like the counter along the window that gives a nice view of the airfield.

CO Insider,

Is CO undergoing a renovation phase on a lot of its Presidents Clubs? I've noticed several major overhauls in the past year or so, in addition to the new location in IAH and upcoming LAS club. Is this a new strategy or just part of the regular club maintenance cycle? Also, what clubs are next on the list? I've noticed some work done at EWR C-1 (no membership verification desk anymore, bathroom renovation, etc.).

It's good to see continued investment in a product that, IMO, really sets CO apart from its competitors from an overall quality standpoint.

Now, we just need a club in TPA and I'll be thrilled to death!
