i just got reached platinum elite and was told that I should remove and re-add my onepass number to existing reservations in order to ensure that I am correctly prioritized as a plat for various purposes.
When I try to remove my onepass number on co.com I can't do it! the system give me an error, and even when I select "no program" from the frequent flyer selection list, it asks me for an account number.
Am I doing something wrong? I've even tried to change the number to my delta skymiles number and it won't let me do that either...

Don't bother with it. CO's systems will update in a couple of days, and you'll be reflected as Platinum for EUA purposes.
I think one of the few systems where a remove/readd comes into play is waitlist priority for mileage upgrades. If you don't have any of those pending, I wouldn't worry.

I do actually have a couple pending...transpacific flights to/from EWR. What should I tell CO when I call them? To readd my onepass number?? Or will they think I'm nuts?

I think they would have to remove your OP number, remove you from the waitlist, add your OP number, and readd you to the waitlist. Not 100% certain of this, though.
