The Last Peter Max Thread

For those who have followed ship 014 "Peter Max" over the years, Peter Max is currently making its last flight in the unique colors.

For those who have followed the online booking bonus over the years, it is also in its final hours of operation. I know which I'll miss more.

Yes, it's on CO99 to HKG right now.

A few days ago, right after Ship #013 came back from HKG with AVOD and crew bunk, it was supposedly Peter Max (#014) turn to go to HKG. But instead, #004 went to HKG. Turned out, #004 is only there for a few days, and it is indeed Peter Max's turn for AVOD and crew bunk installation, and I guess, repainting.

Too much. A five-year-old could have done a better job...for peanuts (literally).

How about this other question - does the special paint scheme adds weight? If it does, how much did that cost CO over the last 7 years?

I for one am going to miss our one unique plane. Some hated it, others loved it. Either way, it always was a conversation starter. I am proud to say I have had the pleasure of working on PM to LGW. Maybe we can convince CO to have another special livery by the time the 20th and final 777 goes in for its conversion!!! Any ideas? Maybe a retro scheme, or maybe one with the FlyerTalk logo on the tail instead of the globe. ^

I have read that it took 320 gallons of paint to create the special paint scheme, but I'm not sure how that compares to the normal paint scheme.

HP did that. they had a contest for kids to design the scheme for thier teamwork plane. once it was painted http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0001735/M/ ,people complained it wasnt PC or something.

they repainted it with a more professional looking "teamwork- coast to coast" theme. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1173842/M/

on the the peter max note, flew it a couple times. i always thought it looked awesome next to the rest of CO's AC. will miss seeing it at iah.
