Anyone else have e-mail notifications stop?

Recently I noticed that I have not been getting e-mail notifications (reminders for online check-in, Trip Alerts, upgrade notifications, etc.).

I have changed nothing on my side, and I checked that I still have e-mail notifications as still active.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have some friends who are complaining about the same thing. While I do understand that there may be tech issues, it might be helpful to reset your settings and resave them.

Same problem here. I've reset them several times, but still no notification.

Exclamation Mia

They are MIA. Some of the happiest e-mails I ever recieved, "You have just been upgraded to FC", have stopped arriving. I resort to checking COOL every day 5,4,3,2,1 days out.

I have had the same problems for a year or two. Just redid my settings (again) but have not had occasion to receive messages. My wife's works perfectly on the same computer. Go figure!

All the notifications have been hit or miss for me, sometimes I get a phone call, maybe an email but never a text message.

Same here. Last time I got notifications was a week ago. I learned that I had upgrades only the night before my flight when I went to check in online.

No Notifications

Same here and my calls to tech support are met with various forms of "Really? ... That's interesting. We'll create a trouble ticket..."

I received an EUA notification this morning. However, now that you mention it, I did not receive my trip alert emails for my flight today.

I flew Thursday and Sunday and received no email alerts and notifications from CO.

And for the second time in a month one of my two checked bags came out late even with the elite tag while at MCO

Had a bit of a slip in service last couple of weeks, I only hope it is an aberration

Ciao,

FH

It has been noticed. I flew to SAT a few weeks ago and what do you know my bag was literally the LAST one off. I then complained to myself about how this is outragous to have to wait an extra 45min for you bag. I then looked at my bag and what did I see, NO elite tag. It was ripped off on both sides of the barcode. The part between the adhesive bar code was still intact but the other parts of the elite tag were ripped off.

Sadly mine was not ripped off. I know s#!t happens sometimes but this is becoming a trend item with the late bags and such.

Also---My bags were sent to OKC on an earlier flight about a month ago and of course the announcement was made after the belt stopped- "Mr FlyingHoustonian" please come by the CAL baggage desk. Where I then see my bags...after waiting 45 minutes.
Funny thing in Orlando yesterday; one of my bags was literally first off and the other nearly last.

And before some douche' bag comes in and says well 'wait like everyone else' or some other smart a$$ comment---I've been around. I choose to fly CO and get elite status for the benefits and make plans accordingly. yes I always have a back-up plan for late events but it is still annoying when it becomes a trend item.

Oh well back to the topic. I went and reset my notifications so we shall test that reset theory soon enough.

Ciao,
FH

I received all my notifications last week (EUA, check-in and trip alert).

I did not receive my trip alert this morning.

I have noticed that my trip alert email have arriving later than usual (usually they arrive right at the 2 hr mark, but in the last few weeks it has been about 90min).

Most of the time I get the EUA notifications (but not always) and trip alert - these are sent to my cell phone.

For the past two years - I generally do not get the other email notifications from CO. I have called and they have checked into it, but still no results. I started to get the online statement email this summer, but now that has stopped again.

I seems to depend on the server sending the emails.

Also missing e-mailed boarding passes

I also noticed that I have not received two sets of boarding passes I should have had e-mailed to me, based on checking in from my cell phone, and from checking in from my PC (without a printer attached).

On both occasions I directed the system to send the e-mail boarding passes to my home e-mail.

Clearly there is something wrong with Continental.com's e-mail notification system.

Is there something we can do to get this fixed (does this rise to the level of CO Insider's attention)?

Thanks!
