Extent of Eva codeshares?

Now that Eva is offering a 773ER TPE-EWR direct flight is there any chances that Continental will codeshare this flight in addition to the TPE-LAX flight?

I've been looking at economy travel on Skyteam to TPE and it seems that the Eva has 773ERs flying LAX-TPE which will provide in-seat power for premium economy vs. the SFO-TPE which won't as it's flown by a 747 combi.

CO codeshares on all BR flights from LAX, SFO, SEA and EWR. I don't see them dropping the EWR just because it switches to a non-stop eastbound, and ANC 1-stop westbound, vs SEA both ways. I guess we just have to wait for them to update the agreement and put it in the timetable.

I fly EVA a fair amount. To ensure I book a codeshare I put in XXX City code to TPE on co.com and ensure that I am getting a CO codeshare. Then I book on EVA using my EVA number so that I can go under hotfares and save a little additional. Then I call EVA and switch to my CO number. I've only had a problem once with miles posting and it was taken care of within 48 hours by CO.

It's interesting that you say this because when I try a dummy booking on co.com for EWR-TPE I get routed through LAX or SFO on Eva. I guess we'll have to wait until the Continental programmers get around to fixing that!

The BR 773ER is a very viable choice for flying that route. In premium economy it certainly beats the dreaded NW 744 connecting in NRT.

CO.com will always try to keep you on CO metal. EWR-TPE is a codeshare flight I have taken this many times and gotten EQM miles.

BR is changing the flight from TPE-SEA-EWR to a non-stop eastbound and EWR-ANC-TPE westbound, only stopping for fuel at ANC. It probably has new flight number and is not showing as a CO codeshare, yet.

BTW, I'm hearing that it will be on their new 772LR, not the 773ER.

After doing a quick search on BR website the new non-stop EWR-TPE flight will be the same flight#.

Thanks for the link. So, SEA got new flight number then.

Anyways, if one uses CO's online timetable and search for flights after Dec 4, it's still showing CO9623 EWR-SEA-TPE and 9620 TPE-SEA-EWR. At least they do show 773ER, not 744 Combi.

They need to update those info.

Did you book the EVA flights on CO.com or through Eva? Ive been looking for a definitive answer as to receiving EQM's on Eva. I would be interested in booking an Eva flight, but want Evergreen Deluxe and CO.com only sells an insanely priced Y fare.

I have booked with EVA Air and got EQM only for the EWR-SEA-TPE flight. All other BR flights I took I did not get EQM.

I have booked cheaper Evergreen Deluxe - there's a different name for it on the 777 - on EVA's website and gotten CO EQMs. LAX-TPE-LAX. This was just a couple of months ago.

No EQMs or bonus miles for non-codeshare flights beyond TPE, just base miles.

Watch out for the A330 flights inside Asia if you want E+. There's no Evergreen Deluxe class on them.
