Fare Change

I got a quick question, I searched the threads but came up with nothing.

Is there any set days that Continental changes there fares? (ie, Wensday 12am? etc....)

Or is it whenever seats get low.

Thanks
Chris

It depends all on Inventory Management or Yield Management, they usually sell seats based on historic data from last year.

I would say they might reduce the fare if there's a lot of capacity available between a market city not based on the flight loads.

If you are searching fares in a WN competing market, my experience in the PHL / IAH market is CO matches almost immediately. I once was surprised at the higher fares on certain CO flights versus different times on the same day despite empty planes. I then went to the WN site, and the comparable times were priced higher on WN as well, presumably since they had sold out of the cheaper fares. My conclusion was CO has some very sophisticated pricing models in place.
