Kudos to the 1K desk for fighting with US to get my ticket fixed. US was rather useless during the whole process but the 1K agent called and 40 minutes later, my res is fixed.

What did you end up with?

It could be that they haven't yet loaded availability (special rates) for World Cup 2010. Not uncommon with SPG properties to have this happen more than 6 months out, especially when special events are in the cards. If you call SPG, they can contact the hotel directly to determine whether it is truly sold out, or whether the rates just haven't been loaded yet. Also, events like this can be golden opportunities to use SPG 50s on Specialty Suites that aren't necessarily loaded into the rooms that are available to reserve online. :-:

Sometimes these more obscure SPG properties in far-flung corners of the world forget to zero-out SPG 50 rate availability for special events or times of year (X-Mas, New Year's, Carnivale, etc.). When everything is already pricing at rack, it's nice to score a Suite for less than what regular rooms are going for. :D

The CO rep is manually selling my itinerary on SQ/MS/TK. Including the F seats on the TK flight.

Somehow he seems to be able to book more seats than the ANA tool is showing. I'm super happy. :D :D

Of course, I have to wait until tomorrow to actually confirm the bookings and it could fall apart completely. But I'm very hopeful.
