From looking at the radar, I don't think that IAH is getting hit (or has gotten hit) very hard.

But the west side of Houston (and, as far as I am concerned, the Galleria area), is getting nailed.

It is absolutely bucketing down in Downtown at the moment.

Hmmm. Is it normal that coins would arrive to my home before AmEx would post the charge?

Not abnormal at all - sometimes two business days before the charge posts.

Ordered 16th, shipped yesterday, arrived today...two business days would then be tomorrow, since it's two business days from day of shipment. Cool. Points for free is nice, but money for free would be better.

If one could be more assured of shipment and delivery dates, one could pick up almost two month's credit card float on the value of the coins if deposited directly into the bank.

Indeed. I would love to have a rigid enough shipping and timing system so as to be able to bring coins to the bank, move them from checking to online savings, and park them in savings long enough to claim interest, only to move those funds back to checking in time to pay the bill.

I do plan to hit up the Northeast again this Fall. A tour of the Shipyard Brewery in Portland, ME, and some lobster sounds like a good mix...

Let me know when you want to go. Mrs. photog72 has a summer/fall house in southwest NH, not too far from the NH/VT state line. We LOVE it there.^

Nailed here in Midtown. Tree limbs along with assorted debris has littered my street. Saw trees bending over sideways. Fire department just passed by sirens blaring as I saw smoke from south of me. WWIII has just wrapped up here. Though, we do need the rain.

I just watched the news about the NJ Politician / NJ & NY Rabbi corruption sting. All I can say is Wow!

Me too. Amazing!

I think Pete Cammarano, the Hoboken Mayor, is the son of someone in my hometown.

The naive doofus talking heads on ABC said "Maybe this case will be the one that makes a difference." This is New Jersey. We are to corruption as California is to political correctness.

More than 130 convicted or plead guilty since 2001 and the arrest of 44 is going to change everything, eh?

I'm being told thanks to my yelling at the news that I missed my calling in life and should be doing talk radio. While that's flattering, doing so and sounding credible would entail engaging in that which I despise: dealing with the mainstream media.

Simply because of the scale of it. You know each of those 44 are going to flip at least one person. I see Dario resigned unexpectedly today and he wasn't one of the people arrested. Sorry to go Omni PR on this but I'm surprise he's avoided a federal pen for the past 15 years.

Back to our normal programing. Poop
