Your father trained you well. If the toddler steals from the drinks cart, it's cute. If the father does it, patrol cars meet the plane at the gate :D

I always wondered what to do with the growing stack of expired cards. I can imagine similar efforts by myself would result in a hearty  by The Significant Otter

For those who have not yet seen it, there is a "Looking Young and Being Elite"-type thread in the SPG forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=722334.

Maybe you should setup a display booth at the DO? :D

I archive my elite packages from each year. This archive, as well as my amenity kit collection, continues to grow. In fact, I now have an entire area in one of my walk-in closets dedicated to amenity kit storage.

If anyone has a ton of hotel toiletries laying around that they'll never really use, Ronald McDonald House loves to have 'em. |

I, too, suffer from Amenity Kit Packrat Syndrome. My latest fetish is toiletries from upscale SPG properties (Hermes & Molton Brown, mostly). I take the cheapies (Westin Heavenly Products, or Sheraton's Stuff) and donate them to local women's shelters.

Hermes - I got buckets of that stuff when I stayed at the Hotel Imperial in Vienna. That stuff stinks GOOD

The Alitalia Amenity Kit was Bulgari. Had some very nice unisex fragrance in it...Eau De The Vert, I think. Good stuff. |

We have some from 8-10 years ago which are still in their cello packages.
I had put aside two old Alitalia kits to contribute at the SEA Do but forgot and left them in NY so am forced to bring along a couple of more recent DL packs that were lying around (in the cello wraps) in Fla. We seem to have some of them laying around everywhere. |

Has anyone ever tried inputting their birthday into Wikipedia? It's like those booths they used to have at State Fairs where your birthday was put into a machine, and out came a faux-newspaperish printout with notable news that occurred on that date.
I input mine (March 31), and found some interesting factoids: 1889 - Eiffel Tower Inaugurated ^ 1917 - U.S. Takes possession of Virgin Islands from Denmark ^ 1931 - Earthquake Destroys Managua :td: Also, Two Plane Crashes and One Hijacking on said date :td: Notable Births: Rene Descartes Joseph Haydn Herb Alpert (Big ^ to he and the Tijuana Brass :D) Cesar Chavez Patrick Leahy, Barney Frank & Al Gore Notable Deaths John Donne Sir Isaac Newton Knute Rockne Jesse Owens J.P. Morgan Wikipedia's great... |
