Early on, I heard somebody on one of the "news" channels speculate on why the military didn't just send a submarine down and get some good pictures of it. Doesn't seem like there's a good understanding of the, well, challenges, posed by 5-gdm'd-thousand feet of water.

i saw the suggestion of airing up a balloon to stop the leak....hahahhaha the pressure of the water would not allow that!

ALCO I thought of you when I saw some hides in China, they were cheap, only about $50.

That is cheap. Teh otter pelt in Barrow retailed for $299.

Hypothetical: you earn X, and will owe say .30X. You under-withhold to the extent HR/payroll will allow, and end up owing a good fraction of .30X. Looks like SAL and LIR are my best options for weekend specials. Are any of the TX locations worth a visit or are they all too hot to enjoy at this time of year?

I just flipped over to a site that calculates pressure as a function of depth. At 5000 feet, the pressure is over 150 times sea level atmospheric.

And that's over one ton per square inch.

I would skip the Texas destinations for a few more months.
