It has always been a "feature" of DiamondClub. That's why I flew Finnair (rather than Blue1) on my CPT-LHR-HEL itinerary.

So it would be 7500 per segment? ZRH-SZG-FRA would be an additional 15k miles?

What about my connecting flights on the US side?

I found a few AC options for the outbound, but they all leave pretty early.

So far, I've found IAH-DFW-FRA-MUC//SZG-FRA-YYZ-IAH on CO, LH, OS and AC.

This is talking about MLK of '11 already?

You are beginning in IAH? Have you checked IAH-YYC-Europe?

Nothing official, but there is a very good chance we may be relocating to IAH in the very near future...

I forgot LH and AC had flights out of YYC... LH's YYC-FRA flight leaves at 13:35 - ouch!

You are only charged the connecting flight upcharge for connecting flights within Zone 1 or 2 when your destination is within Zone 1 or 2. Bottom-line, if you don't want to pay the extra miles, don't have any connecting flights within Europe when your final destination is within Europe.

Si. Need to burn the BD miles before they are worthless.

AC also has a TATL flight from YEG, though I don't know if it's year-round.

ETA - Condolences on possible pit relocation, but at least you'll have drinking buddies waiting to console you.

I think that they are making FT load awfully slow....while reminding me why I hate children.

Make sure you don't procreate please. Use Firefox and ad-block plus to make your FT experience better.

:rollpuck:, if you want a connecting option in Euroland, book two one-ways. Haz connections on your return to the U.S. (since your destination isn't in Zones 1 or 2, you can haz connections).

Oh I so want to do that. I do wish I had filmed or at least photographed the service I had on the UK Orient Express. The server I had also worked in a little castle and presonaly serves someone at functions with the letters HRM before her initials ER.

Thanks for the well wishes!!

I did get one thing accomplished today. I am now able to connect my cell phone to my laptop as my laptop connect. Very cool feature as I can still make calls and send emails and text from phone if I want while connected to the internet in an ATT 3G market!!

I don't see the YEG flight in January, so it must be seasonal. It's a shame CO or UA don't open Business availability further in advance...

Should the pit relocation happen, I look forward to the alcohol focused welcome party. :)

Now let's all be nice to the adorable noob in the forum. I'm not joking. I was very pleasant to him despite his obvious lack of any skill in grammar or punctuation.

Trust me. It's better than Jersey.

When I travel on business I like to stay away from the co-workers. I was just found so now have to go out - sigh...

I brought up the idea of a longhaul move this afternoon. I was told that I would need to bring her family.

I actually like NJ. Although, I've never lived in the over-populated areas, so maybe that has something do with it. We're just ready for a change (and a lower cost of living and warmer climate)...
