You wife must be a strong woman. Working with sick children must be probably one of the most difficult jobs in the world, especially more so when you are a parent yourself. It breaks my heart to hear of children who are terminally ill.

I don't know how she does it. She has a patient who is terminal right now. A 16 year old w/ a tumor growing in her throat and head. The patient and her mom keep asking if there's some way they can end her life, as she is in constant pain and living in a hospice. My wife comes home and wishes we were in Washington or Oregon. I feel her stress when she comes home.

An example is dog poop (got in the reference for the day ;)). We have a pick-up law here and to me it's just common courtesy not to leave giant turds in your neighbors yard. Apparently, I'm the only one who believes it is the way to do things.

I will say this about my area of Houston. The owners definitely pick up after their dog's poop. ^

It's really amazing. I just bought the new version of Adobe Elements because up until now, it had all I needed. I wonder if they'll add that to the next version.

just found out gimp has a plugin that has done this for 5 years to some degree, and improved version floating around out there.... i had not heard of it before, but it looks very impressive :)

paint.net with some plugins does the job for me most of the time.

I have confronted people who have let their dogs leave a steamer on our lawn. It is just effin' rude! That being said, the look they give when they know they've been busted is hysterical!

How incredibly sad about the 16 y.o. patient.:(

I'm sure your wife loves to see her & your adorable daughter (& vice versa) when she walks in the door!

Just found $300 in traveler's checks(circa 1990) looking through my 'important box of papers.'

Afternoon, Box!

I was fully consumed getting my brand new Dell XPS Studio 9000 up and running today. FedEx delivered it by noon, and so it was like Christmas for me all afternoon :)

Other than the fact that it is huge... it is working great. I'm most impressed that Windows 7 is, so far, completely plug-and-play.

On the work front... the big boss left me a VM to tell me they misunderestimated my bonus, so there is more $$ coming :-:

But my direct boss said no travel for next week :( Doesn't he realize how close I am to the Marriott MegaBonus?? Fool. I'm gonna have to stay at the Cleveland Downtown Marriott and try to get MBM3 to go out drinking before the end of April, apparently.
