G-string shot was not possible. No camera phone for one, and secondly she was an off-duty Waffle House employee who was chitchatting with my server. I was seated at the bar, so even a discreet attempt would have been noticed.

I'd skip F on the way over, and do it on the way back. With LX, you can snag flat Biz for sleeping on the overnight, and then you can enjoy F during a day-flight return.

Let's hypothesize that I do LH on the way over (the non-stop IAH-FRA), still in J?

My honest-to-God rule of thumb on longhaul redemptions is that if F costs more than 10,000 miles/ticket over J, it ain't worth it. Seriously. LX, UA, and AC all offer lie-flats on all or much of their longhaul J flights, making the value proposition for F hard to justify. Even LH J is good enough to forego the extra spend for F.

Meh. I'd aim for AC, NZ (from LAX), UA (744 or 763), TK (77W), US (new biz), LX (new biz), or CO (new biz). Why go angled flat when you can haz flat?

Once you go flat, you don't go back :p

Darn you all. You're making me second guess my decision to go F both ways to South Africa... :p

Mackieman Mar 26, 2010 10:30 am

I step out for an hour and come back to :rolleyes:. Apparently there is another required training that I missed because no one told me about it.

BTS.gov Database goes back to 1995, if you recall specific flights during that period. At the bottom of that page, click on "Departures" or "Arrivals" to perform a search (pick the one that isn't a hub, to make searching through all the carrier's flights to that airport easier).

Also, we'll need to see a linky to this FM in Progress (you have to set FM Map sharing in your preferences/profile) before Operation Not a :-: is completely shelved. :D

I've used the BTS site for the flights where I retained the BP. Luckily, I was pretty much a kettle pre-2004.

Link forthcoming.

Beer machines!!?? Please elaborate...

Popular in the airline lounges (particularly at NRT). Grab a chilled glass from the fridge, stick it under the tap, and push the button. It tilts the glass to fill, levels it off at the end of the pour, and then dispenses some foam on top to give the proper head. There's videos on Youtube.

Good enough excuse for me.

Afternoon B:rolleyes::-:

Just got my new noise canceling headsets to replace the ones I left on the plane. Phillips wrap around the back of the head type, so no more matted down hair from my old ones :D I just hope they block the screaming babies as well as my sharper image ones did :rolleyes:
