Anyone know if the SUMAQ VIP Lounge in LIM can be used as an arrivals lounge for CO Passengers in International Business who are waiting for a domestic LA connection?

Doubt it. Not a BF flight so arrivals lounge options are likely non-existent.

The Flight Search links never work for me; ITA always reports an error. But I figure that is probably a known issue.

This should be resolved now. Turns out than a typical ITA query string is over 2100 characters long, more than most systems can handle cleanly. I trimmed some excess from the query and got it to a reasonable size. My initial testing has it working now.

FWIW, the ITA search is set to query for a 0-3 day trip in the next 30 days. Making those settings customizable is in the future roadmap for the tool, but who knows when that will happen.

I've gone through this with my own travel dept many times.

Mine is like that. Case in point — CO often has discounted F tickets on ATL-IAH for less than the full Y ticket. Our travel agent's system tries to enforce buying the cheapest fare, so it won't display fares that are higher than the cheapest fare on a flight. However, it's also set up to not allow booking into anything other than Y. So if the cheapest F ticket is cheaper than full Y, the flight will show up, but then you get a message that you can't book the flight because the cheapest fare isn't in an allowed class of service. It will then display other flights, often on other airlines, where the cheapest fare is in Y, and try to force you onto one of those flights, even if the cheaper Y on the other airline is still more expensive than the F on CO. It's absolutely retarded, and calling them and trying to explain it usually results in all sorts of  and . I broke rank and violated the "you must book flights through the travel agent" rule a couple of times last year, and then documented everything and attached it to my expense report.

The CO forum is ripe with  today.

Yikes.

Thanks. It was not unexpected as she had been sick for at least a year and was deteriorating over the past month. However, it is always a shock to lose someone you knew for almost 40 years.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Arriving into LIM (even internationally) just dumps you into teh terminal (you have to leave the concourse to access immigration/customs), so it would be possible to reach the door of the lounge without having to exit/re-clear security. The Lounge is also used for all passengers departing LIM in International Business to EWR/IAH, and in Clase Ejecutiva to PTY (accessed it by virtue of my EUA'd biz seat last year). Do they generally distinguish between departures/arrivals in such circumstances?

Nifty; I'll give that a look here in a bit.

Dear Aerosur,

Thank you for changing my CUZ-LPB flight back to a 09:00am departure after I had already converted my roundtrip Star Peru itinerary to a one-way, and purchased a separate LIM-CUZ on LAN Peru. You are Teh Awesome. :-:

Okay, so with the Wyndham promo, I booked a mattress run in San Ysidro, CA (one mile from Tiajana border) during my recent visit to SAN. So I get to the hotel, and at checkin, they write on the room folio:

My credit card number
Drivers license number and exp date
My DOB

I asked them why they were writing all that, and that I wasn't comfortable having the info just out there for anyone to see. The desk clerk told me this was the hotel policy, that in case the charge didn't clear or was disputed, they have the info. Well, I really just wanted to EFFing miles, so I let it go, against my better judgment.

Guess what's next?????????? yup, you got it. Fraudent charges on my CO Chase card.

I've cancelled the card and the charges are being removed, but mutha-fluker, I'm p!ssed! My own d@mned fault, I guess. Shoulda walked away.

Question to all of you: Can more ID theft happen with my DOB and DL # that was harvested? What should I do???

BTW, I've called the hotel and left a message for the GM to call me back; we'll see if he does. For all I know, he's the ring leader.

The only other place I used this particular card was at Von's to buy a couple of yogurts... I really don't think the card number was swiped at Vons.

sue em, make them respond to a law suit.

The awesomeness is compounded by the fact that I've switched to a 05:20am LA departure, after arriving into LIM late at night on the CO flight from IAH.

This 727 had better come with free booze. :-:
