Cartoons on Fox seemed more compelling than Closing Ceremony.

Greetings from CM 804. We all cleared our upgrades on PTY-JFK.

Good night, Box!

:D I needed my daily dose of , so started reading the thread.

We are home and glad to be here.

Thank you for all the messages today. This is a tough time for Plus1 and his brother and sister. She was their last remaining family member (because we're not counting the idiot that is their uncle as family; he and sfogate's sister would get along well).

My sil and niece flew home yesterday via IAH. I had given them both some drink coupons and when I spoke with our niece yesterday, she was drinking a very large beer. After a three hour layover, and having had very little sleep, she left a FB message for said idiot uncle that was quite . Deserved, but . . . She may have said all the things sfogate is wanting to say to her sister!

Was upgraded at the three hour mark (changed tix yesterday to today); was surprised as it had been booked full; then one seat opened up but I was #2. I told Plus1 I would decline it so that I could sit with him (one of the rare times I would ever do that ;) ) but he said no. Not only had they not catered my precious Coke Zero, but there was no and I mean *ZERO* alcohol on board. FA said it was a "catering issue" and they'd been having "catering issues". Let me say, there were some very, very unhappy folks. I heard one FA tell the other that people were asking for comment cards but they didn't have any of them, so they were writing down 800-we don't care for them. I felt bad for the FAs, who were excellent.

On the drive home, a shuttle driver was cutting off drivers and driving about 20 miles over the speedlimit. I called and spoke to someone at their corporate who first told me they'd just had another call on the same driver  and would be dealing with it. They gave me a tracking # and said they'd have someone follow up with me. A+ for customer service.

Thanks to you and all here.

Marriott needs to change asking "What brings you to town?" My profile for res. always says business whether I am or not. Is it really the front desk clerk's business what I'm doing in town?

Plus1 and I were not up to going for dinner last night, so we decided to stop at the market; pick up appropriate beverages; crackers and cheese, etc. We ended up at a Korean market which was a very ^ experience. They even had wines from India (didn't partake). It made us realize we need to shop our own various Asian markets.

It certainly can! That's why a daily requirement is so important :)

^ to Asian markets. So much awesome (and sometimes simply unbelievable) stuff there.

I need to find a good one that's closer than Brooklyn, though. People in my neck of the woods (Olton Hall, Steve GadFly, Brituchenite, etc) - any suggestions?

I have a great Korean supermarket not too far away from my office. My pantry has some rather interesting additions.
