The snow/rain/wind mess is supposed to be gone by Friday. Getting to JFK on Friday evening or early Saturday morning may be a little tricky in some areas, but I would imagine your flight will get out at some point on Saturday morning.
^ hoping it goes well. |

Nice place to eat. My wife, daughter, and I spent a week in one of the condos right next door (Kuhio Shores - the L-shaped building) a few weeks ago. Hard to beat the location - nice sunrise and sunset views.
If you're a snorkeler, go in on the tiny beach on the east side of the condos - out near the rocks on the corner of the L, sea turtles make periodic appearances. That's where I met these guys: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4019/...df41edf884.jpg There's decent snorkeling on the other side of Beach House, too. |
CO.com is still effed up. My account page shows all of my correct details but :rolleyes:v's username.

Henry Margusity on accuweather.com, who has been pretty dead on this winter, says PHL and South Jersey may get hit harder than NYC, because of the way the storm is predicted to intensify over the city and wrap snow around it to the south and west.

Yeah, we usually stay at Kuhio Shores as well but they were pretty much booked up so we are across the street.

Interesting. CO.com is showing 0% EQMs for our LAX-LIH-LAX segments on UA. Please tell me that this is a bug!

I had a hard time finding a unit this year as well. It didn't help that I waited until early/mid-December to try and book the 1st week of February. I finally got a hit on the very last place I looked. Paid a little more than I was hoping to pay ($1700/wk all-in), and ended up in one of the east-facing units, but it was still well worth it. My Plan B was a place on the water in Kapa'a, but it's too busy over there.

I'll go on record saying this won't be a 'paralyzing event' but much closer to a plain old snow fall. It might even stay rain. :-:

UA used to have this service at one point, too. I think it was (ab)used for segment runs.
