As a peace offering to CM and the B:rolleyes::-: for spilling some :rolleyes:MNI in here, I offer the following anecdote.
My wife was watching The Price is Right today and one of the 'prizes' in the final showdown was a trip to good old Atlantic City. Not only do you get round trip airfare to EWR and a car service (pretty sure it was car service) down to ACY, but you get to stay at the fabulous Tropicana. :-: I'm a bit unsure if it really was a prize, or punsihment for not being the winner. :D:-: |

This series of videos were the most neutral that I have ever seen on the issue of global warming, and I'd wager it's a better watch than An Inconvenient Truth (which I have never seen). The narrator is a global warming proponent, but very even handed with the material. :-: (and I see there's a new video about 'climategate' that I should watch) The issue is whether or not we (humans) are the main cause of global warming not whether or not the earth is cooling/heating up. Historically, we weren't even though the earth underwent massive changes. I'm sure there is real science out there, like the videos you pointed out. My problem is that science is being overshadowed by carbon credit (snake oil) sellers and that's just sad. There is a study out there talking about how trees in parts of the world are fighting for CO2, which I find interesting. |
