Will I have problems with this Itinerary?

This is my first post on here. Seems like a good site with lots of information, so maybe someone could help me.

I have never done this before and want to know if it’s ok and if I will get my miles/segments on OnePass.

I have to deliver a letter.

I’m flying from city ABC-IAH-XYZ. At city XYZ I hand the person the letter and fly back to city ABC via IAH on the same plane I just got off. There is only one flight there that day. It looks like the plane will be on the ground for 25 minutes.

I went to Continental.com and it will let me buy the ticket, but I haven’t bought it yet because I want to know few things first.
1) Will I get my miles?
2) How to I check back in?
3) Do they check me in four all flight at city ABC or do I need to see the agent at the gate in XYZ to get my other boarding pass to come back?

Thanks

I'd be wary of that 25 mins on the ground, you will be exiting the terminal or meeting your letter recipient on the other side of security and coming back in.
Assuming you are going into a very small airport you might just make it back but you will still have to go through security again, and that timing will depend on the line at security ANY traveller will tell you security can be a major pain in the a$$ depends how many people are travelling and the line.
If its a larger airport Im not sure you will make it.
Seeing as the turnaround is only 25 mins its definitely not a CO Mainline flight its Expressjet as CO's mainline turnaround is usually about 1hr. So the plane gets cleaned, catered (if they cater there) and then reboard. Saying that 25 mins is very short.
If you miss the flight back, sounds like you will get stuck.
As for the other questions, you can check in, print your boarding passes for all legs online, 24 hrs ahead so thats fine. You will also get your miles, as for anything else Im just a lowly FA so I will leave it to all the other much more informed members of this forum to help you there
Hope you make it (or maybe consider FedEx )

If you tell us what airport "XYZ" is, you'll get a better answer.

I don't see why the person you're handing a letter to cannot meet you at security if you're just handing them a letter. This might prevent you from having to leave the secured area.

I did some runs like BWI-EWR-IAH-SEA-IAH-EWR-BWI where the plane into SEA was gonna be the same one out, with a 45 min down time, of cause we were late getting in but no problem as it was the same plane out. However I was NOT able to print out any of the BPs from that SEA flight back to BWI. I had to get them at the SEA gate, something to the affect that I had to fly the outbounds 1st. I ran into this several times when making runs out to the WC and taking a red-eye back right away.

I would suggest that the OP have their friend buy a Fully Refundable tkt and meet the OP at COs gate area, so the friend has to make sure that the tkt will be for a Carrier that has a Gate in the same area as CO does. too risky having to get to the Security area and some places wont let You hand anything over at that area , so you will have to exit and then come thru security again

As said earlier, if you are not leaving the secure area, then you would not have to worry... but just be sure that the person receiving the letter is able to enter the secure area.

The TSA brainiacs would have a s*** fit if you attempted something like that. They were threatening me with rescreening for "becoming contaminated" just because I was standing on the other side of the line from my brother while he was waiting for secondary screening at LAS.

You're going to LBB, what day is there not more than flight going and coming back to Houston?

What city are you originating from? (I'm guessing DAL)
