Unhappy I made a mistake and

booked a flight for the wrong day, so part of the correction phase involved me paying the difference in fair, plus I ponied up 5k miles to make it a first class seat. It was a must-do because the only seats available for tomorrow were middle seats, and I'm just not feeling 3.5 hours in that siutation.

Everything goes well, I check in online - note that my screen says my miles will post 150% for the Elite Qualification, which is good news because that puts me into Silver Elite for my trip back. Yeah!

And this morning I see this depressing report:

Flight Details:

Depart:
5:45 p.m. Fri., Apr. 6, 2007 Philadelphia, PA (PHL)

Arrive:
8:25 p.m. Fri., Apr. 6, 2007 Houston, TX (IAH - Intercontinental)

Travel Time: 3 hr 40 mn OnePass Miles/Elite Qualification:1,324 /0%

Flight: CO1077 Aircraft: Boeing 737-800 Fare Class: First (F)

It's like I'm at a party and someone is playing old vinyl records and someone bumped the needle and the music stopped after a loud squawk as it travelled over the grooves.

1,324 miles with a 0% Elite Qual?

Is this an error?

My plan of action, when I get to the airport and check in, I will see if someone can take a look and tell me why.

If nothing else works, I will call after the flight is over and see if I can't get the miles to post correctly?

I'd call them now but I am stuck in a cubicle with about 30 bored people around me.

Continental.com has been having some issues (there are a couple of threads about it) and I am guessing this is linked to those issues.

My OnePass account still shows my total miles but when I try to go into my activity detail it says that I have none.

I would bet that this will not be fixed until Monday (since today is a holiday in the states) but I could be wrong.

What is the fare class of your eticket receipt (after correcting date)? I guess it is Y (or H). If it is the case, you will get 150% EQM.

In your situation, it is likely that Mileage Upgrade is the reason for showing 0%EQM, as upgrade FC seat comes from the same class as reward ticket, and it is a known problem, IIRC.

It's just a glitch. You pay, you fly, you'll get the EQMs.

What are you complaining about? At least it doesn't say -50% EQM.

-50%

Wow, you are right - what if some glitch came along and snapped up 500 of my EQM's and left me in non-elite ranks for another long week?

It's all about perspective, lol.

Thanks everyone for pointing out what I was suspecting anyway - Co has a few glitches to work out in how the information is presented on the site.

I'm just happy to be regaining my status. I just finished booking another RT and this time it was only $198, but it tried to stick me in my least favorite seat: 24A.

Argggghhhhhh!

So I took an earlier flight to catch a "C" seat.

Oh, and it does appear that Continental is filling middle seats from front to back with no regard to Elites. These last few weeks, when not paying for "F", I've been grabbing rear aisle seats and been blessed with an empty seat next to me.

That really comes in handy when we get stuck in a holding pattern, then land somewhere else to refuel, then back up into a holding pattern before landing almost six hours after boarding the flight.
