PDA site glitch?

[Update: Now the main site is hosed and the PDA site is OK.... guess someone is doing something]

PDA site - upgrade and flight standby lists not showing booking info... shows at the main www site... for example, on the main site one sees:

Economy Class: Full

Upgrade Standby List:
Capacity: 16 | Booked: Full | Checked In: 8

From pda site:

I have a flight booked as a Y fare that's earning 100% EQM instead of 150%. Please see below:

Depart:
9:00 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 18, 2009
New York/Newark, NJ (EWR - Liberty) Arrive:
11:23 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 18, 2009

When searching flights out of EWR, U.S. Helicopter logo and search tip appears.

"Search tip: To use US Helicopter service between Newark and Manhattan, select the Wall Street (JRB) or Midtown Manhattan (TSS) heliport."

I was just going to post the same thing. The Booking info for F on the upgrade standby list is not showing consistently. The co.com site is.
You need to go out to something else and keep trying to get the booking number and checked in number to show on the PDA site.

RSS feed wayback machine...

The RSS feed available on the news and offers page (http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...OPPROMOFEATURE) links to long gone promos.

For example, the third item in the list ... bold none the less:
"Find your next reward flight at 10% Off"

Would be nice but for the 2004 expiration date.

As an aside, I understand the complexity of implementing this, but if you're going to do a news and offers RSS feed, it'd be nice to include targeted offers.

Well, they certainly fixed the RSS feed in a hurry! All offers appear to be current, and the 10% off one is not to be found, though clicking on that url still brings it up.

I agree that targeted offers would be nice. Especially for us potential targets!

Hmm... I still see it... maybe it's a function of the newsreader... I've got it loaded into live bookmarks in Firefox, just reloaded and it's still there.

Fare rules currently aren't displaying. All the information in the table is blank.

:mad::mad:::rolleyes:

Clicked on home page banner ad for "17,500 miles for enrolling in Extra Mile" and got baggage fee waiver page for Chase cardmembers.

For good measure, and even though it's been talked about elsewhere, EUA seems not to be working for everyone this week. Tons of space available in F, plats on H fares not upgraded...

And my wife is currently grateful for this :)

She has a last minute trip "M" fare - corp TA won't ticket until the morning, flight is in the PM. She's gold (and this trip incl DEQM gets her Plat). So far doesn't look like any upgrades.

baglady Oct 26, 2009 10:32 am

Booked M fares for 2 plats, upgraded immediately. Then when the res processed the seats went away and booked back into coach. Was able to get the F seats back but still a big .

mbreuer Oct 26, 2009 11:37 am

My SO - now plat went to check in - was offered same day change for $25. Ticket purchased today, so should have been zero. She's on an M fare and was offered a buy-up to first as well for what looked like the fare difference to Y.

So I called for her... elite desk upgraded her based on the M fare....

Went to check her in...

When I clicked on the seat assignment (up front), I got the seat map for the back. I went back without touching the seat assignment and got a message that an upgrade was unavailable. After that no buttons on the page worked. Reloaded and tried again without clicking the seat map - everything was then OK.

Guess more issues with the *A transition.

Aha, missed SkyTeam reference:

http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...e/default.aspx

Under Club Access:
"... and SkyTeam Elite Plus customers ..."

Flight search options.... MAF-ZQN:
Continental or its partners serve these cities but do not publish schedules or fares between them. It may be possible to construct an itinerary using two separate fares by calling 1-800-300-1547.

Boo. :(

The new interactive route map is delivering weird results: a non-stop between CLE and Shanghai, and one between ABQ and McAllen.

I tried to add my BD frequent flier number to an existing CO reservation. It said the number is invalid. I double checked...and it was correct. I tried it again... totally retyping it... same thing. I gave up. There must be a problem with co.com

yellow77 Oct 28, 2009 9:58 am

I don't appear to be able to get co.com to recognize that a CO partner now serves HVN (New Haven, CT). Typing 'HVN' into the flight search produces the error that Continental serves ZVE (New Haven rail station) and not HVN. But US Airways flies HVN-PHL and should now be valid for award searches at the very least.

Try adding the old BD number (without the 4 leading zeros).

Yes and no. Not all routes are bookable online. My guess is that they'll get to it eventually.

That might make it harder.

Do you still have the old number you originally got? My guess is that it is without the 1001 and that the 5th digit - a 0 - is the beginning of the number.

yellow77 Oct 30, 2009 12:12 pm

A US Airways flight on 10/28 credited to my OP account online under Non-Airline Activity. Now, I know US are bad, but not that bad...

(RDM and EQM were correctly posted, but the categorization was wrong; I don't really care, but it is kind of funny.)

Changing seat does not hold

Two of us upgraded to F - two days out. Then 7 out of 16 F seats sold with all having assigned seats, including us. Tried to move seats to get us two seat together - but after selecting new seat and clicking on continue - the new seats would not hold. Tried this yesterday with the same problem.

Called Tech Support and had Tech Support move our seats. Fine - now shows OK in seatmap. Checked PDA site and our manual assignment of seats then incremented the number of F seats booked from 7 to 9 out of 16 F seats booked. But only 7 people with assigned seats.

Could be that two people bought tickets at this exact instance - but I doubt it since this problem with number of Booked tickets on the PDA has been a problem in the past as well.

The Seatmap from FLIFO still says:

Continental and Northwest Platinum and Gold Elite members may request an exit row seat assignment anytime before departure.
should say 1Ks? :D

The PDA site also has the old fare buckets (pre January 2009) for the standby hierarchy. Lots of little bits on the PDA site that need to be updated.

This is my original number... I just signed up this Sept. I am one hold for right now to see what the earning levels on BD for Co flights will be... there is some speculation in the BD forum that the redemption levels might mirror LH which would give me 0.5 RDM on S,T,N,L...which means I won't credit to BD and credit to UA instead. There is no info on the BD site yet about earning miles from CO flights :(

Time to renew my periodic complaint that co.com still does not spell the name of the country Colombia correctly everywhere.

Every time I bring this up, it seems like somebody goes in and fixes one or two of the Columbia's, but some either get left behind or added.

My last ticket actually spelled it right in 4 places; but then levied a "Columbia Resident Exit Tax" on me.

Maybe it's those union pilots who came on here one time and wrote about flying to "Bogata" and "Equador" that are in charge of the co.com spelling team...

CO.com is still doing this and it's really annoying!
Sample dates: 12/13-12/23.
CLE-IAH-HNL-IAH-CLE shows up for saverpass but when you select the flights only CLE-IAH-CLE is First, IAH-HNL-IAH is coach.

Logged into my account today and noticed that my flight next week that I've already gotten a M-UP on is showing that I'll get 0% EQM.

My other flights are all displaying correctly so I'm not sure if its a bug or a real problem.

I saw upthread that a few other folks were having the same issue but no resolution. Did the EQM actually post?

I don't see any other airlines doing that.

Truly great that CO has a rep on this site! Kudos for that awareness. I must, however, side with the other posters on the reliability of the CO site vs the others that I use regularly such as AA, UA, DL, and even some foreign airlines sites (though many foreign airline sites I've used make CO website look fully functional.)

Wanting to have it work better, and working with the CO rep should help. Blase responses from Web staff are totally irritating and cause us to type random letters on our e-mails *(#$%@&!!) Nothing says more about customer service than attitude.

I've noticed that some airlines website improved after they joined Star Alliance. It's a pretty 'big deal' and really wonderful to know that CO is now part of it. So let's start looking at those miles and figure out where to head off to!!

Steph3n Nov 4, 2009 7:00 pm

CO you need to fix this horrible image that is displayed in the email specials, it looks like someone scanned a newspaper ad and photochopped a star alliance logo banner on it, TERRIBLE. not up to normal standards:

How about this? I can book IAH-LAX-BFL on united.com, but continental.com shows BFL as not being served by CO or its partners. Queried CO, which responded that "United Airlines website does display this route as they codeshare with SkyWest airlines which flies into Bakersfield. Since the Houston to Bakersfield market is not a true United route but rather flown by SkyWest this market will not display on continental.com." Apparently, I can book IAH-LAX-BFL on united.com because they now codeshare with both CO and SkyWest (= United Express), but I can't book it on continental.com because they don't codeshare with SkyWest even though they now codeshare with United.
