New co.com Logon Splash Screen

Just went to logon co.com and got this blue animated screen come up during the logon process. Not sure what purpose it serves besides slightly delaying my logon, but maybe a good placeholder for marketing messaging.

Hmmm, I haven't notice anything different. Are you referring to the marketing/messaging area that cycles through 4 different ads? This has been on there for a while.

No, this was a completely different screen - when logging on, the entire page turned into a blue animated screen during the logon, then went back to the regular page with my account links, itineraries, etc., when the logon process completed.

ahhh, after the logging in....yeah, looks kind of nifty but I agree it seems to just delay the log in process.

It also pops up during reward searches...and sometimes the search crashes, resulting in an error message

Please tell me another major site upgrade wasn't deployed last night without our being given a chance to beta test it.

From what I heard the upgrade was supposed to take place yesterday but was rescheduled for today. It appears to have taken place earlier today, as the new blue splash screen wasn't there earlier.

Finally got it. The nicest function is the new calendar when selecting travel dates. The old one was horrible.

The pop-up calendar is actually usable

The calendar pops up quickly unlike the old calendar that seemed to hang for days.

LOL, I was not even aware that the old calendar had a pop-up feature. Generally, I would input dates so quickly, that I guess it did not have time to load.
