Sfo/sjc

Aside from aircraft differences, any difference between the F service/ F catering in between the EWR to SFO and EWR to SJC routes. Menus? etc? I'm flying on paid F and can choose between either airport. Thanks.

SFO is about 17 miles longer.

Other than that, it's the same service.

I would gauge it based on where you're going. SFO/SJC are about an hour apart.

Of course there are lounges at SFO, if you are member...But I would make my decision based on your destination.

Although you mention your primary interest is meal options, CO generally flies more a/c to SFO with IFE if that's important to you - and depending on the day, you may actually luck out with a 752, equipped with AVOD (F).

Add to that the fact that almost all FC flyers on the SFO flights are full-fare FC paid pax - I see a lot more fur on those flights than I do on the EWR-SJC one

The only non-stop on the SJC-EWR route is a red eye. There are five+ flights/day SFO-EWR, giving you a much better choice of flight times.

And if you're paying for F, check the price of UA p.s. C JFK-SFO. The seat is much better, and they offer personal DVD players and such.

I consider SJC to be a nightmare airport and will only do it if the fare difference is major.
