showing upgrade availability
CO Insider - Good morning! Is there any way that CO will assist in letting its loyal flyers see upgrade availability more easily? I think that efficient access to this info would do more good than harm. And contrary to conventional wisdom, I don't think this would 'diminish' the value of BF and its exclusiveness. Those of us that are interested and care to learn how the upgrade process goes know the general pattern of the release of seats into the upgrade category; but more clarity and certainty would help us plan better.
I, as well as many others on this board, are loyal customers of Continental for different reasons. This is a service that will be greatly appreciated and valued. Thanks.

Uhh no.
Besides, what did I just get KVS for? Seat maps? Hardly.

Kindly save pointless invective for AAnother board. We're civil here. Until we get drunk, at least...

There are other ways to find the inventory, but I don't see any way that Continental could give information on seat release patterns.

Good question, but faulty logic, nzqjyb. With all due respect for the KVS Availablity Tool (and I am a Platinum contributor), the Tool recently lost the ability to yield meaningful information as to the availablity of CO's "F" class for upgrading from Coach to BF. I have had to resort to a tedious search and search again method on the CO website to find upgrade availability. One "clue" to upgradability on the Tool may be the number of available "R" bucket seats on a flight (heavily discounted BF). When I see "R2" or higher, I then return to the CO site to see if I can upgrade an already booked or about to be booked seat.
