Yes, you may ask for a specific seat. In fact, if you check in using one of the kiosks, you can pick any available seat on the seatmap.

as long as the seat is unoccupied you can get it. I once wanted a co-worker to sit next to me so I asked at the gate if seat ## was still available and it was and given to my co-worker.

Check-in online at 24 hours before your first flight. You have a better chance of getting a seat you like then. By the time you get to EWR for your flight, you may not get any good seat.

Why not call Continental directly and see if you can get the seat you want?

As long as you have your CO record locator, you will be fine. Continental is very good about OLCI for international flights, too, unlike other carriers. Have a nice trip!

I would imagine that you can just go to co.com with the record locator and choose your seat now - haven't done this for a DL ticket in particular before but don't see any reason why this wouldn't work.

Question? Can Bundi get the confirmation no./Record Locator No. and then go to the manage reservations section of continental.com and save it to his profile?

After that, can he then select his seat, instead of waiting to get to the airport?

Or is this feature only available to NON reward travel?

I have used NW miles for a roundtrip that's entirely on CO, in 2006.

Can't remember the detail, but I can get everything done online: choosing seats, online check-in, etc. I believe the NW agent gave me the CO PNR when I booked it over the phone. With that PNR, everything can then be done on continental.com afterwards.

That's the 6-digit code for your reservations. Some call them PNR, some "locator", some just "confirmation number". Yes, call DL and they'll give it to you.
