unable to check in

flying ORD-EWR-LGW this evening but keep getting an "unable to complete check-in" message when trying to do so online. I spoke to a rep who said it is because the flight is delayed. I, like many on this board, am a very frequent flyer and as such, a frequently delayed flyer but I have never heard that excuse for a technical problem - is anyone else having a problem with their system this morning?

Unable to check-in

Conjectural on my part, but given that two of the largest airports in the world have been either shut down or have faced significant weather related capacity restrictions perhaps it is part of the so called ripple effect?

Good luck and safe travels!

problem solved - just spoke to a much more helpful/friendly individual who told me I was out of sync. Turns out, I was booked on 2 flights to EWR, one at 3pm, one at 5pm - the system didn't know how to check me. This nice lady just canceled the 3 and I was good to go. Continental experience is rapidly improving. Given how heavy traffic is going to be tonight - I think I will appreciate the Elite boarding and security as well.

Not sure who you called - but just in case it's a problem with your record I'd advise calling co.com support. Whenever I've had this happen it was an, "out of sync" record. 2 min on phone and voila! - checked in.
