Nice bump
I voluntarily got bumped from the 12:10pm flight from EWR to Orlando today to the 3:20pm for a whopping $500 in flight vouchers. They were initially offering $300, but I quietly said I would do it for $500 and got a guaranteed seat on the 3:20pm flight. Not bad for a 3 hour wait.
Incidently, CO were also offering $300 compensation to go on a later flight from San Antonio to Houston a few days' ago, but since they couldn't get me to NYC, I had to pass.
The bumps are coming back!

Nicely done!
It seems that CO may have come to its senses with respect to bump compensation. In the past, I have seen them IDB people, pay them $400 in CASH, then endorse their ticket to Delta (more cash out) because they refused to up the ante from the usual $300. This, by the way, was when they had adequate potential volunteers who said they would take $400 or $500 in voucher.
You did take a risk, though. If there were other takers, your $500 request would definitely have been denied.
