looks at all elites and revenue in a pool, but still picks the top 1%, done. I would be hard pressed to think tens of thousands are costar.

I noticed the same thing as the OP the computer flashes SSR STAR but when I catch a glimpse at the manifest no * while others do have stars next to their names.
My colleague also had the same message appear, if its not for being a CO* then what does SSR STAR mean? |
I spoke to a supv at the salt lake call center the other day and was told there was another level above CO Star now. He said it was approx top 50 flyers and that I was in that group, but that sounded absurd to me (I flew 140k last year, mostly on high fares) I think he didn't know much about the CO Star program, but...

I guess it is never too early for 4/1.

Family Tree
Off topic, but if Carla's little sister is Becky's cousin, wouldn't that make Carla a cousin of Becky, too? :p
At least we're now one body closer to determining the elusive "super CoStar level." |

I boarded my flight last night and saw this "SSR STAR" appear on the BP screen, reading this thread and others didn't answer the question, does this mean I am or am not a CO*?

I agree with JohnSmith that this figure is absurd. |

I often fly more than 140k EQMs per year on CO, and I *know* I can't possibly be in the top 50 flyers. I'm not implying that the SCL supe didn't say such a thing to JohnSmith, but if the supe DID say that, I just can't believe it's true. I can name off the top of my head at least 5 CO pax who top 140k EQMs every year, which (by the SCL supe's logic) would indicate I personally know at least 10% of the CO top 50 flyers -- which is a bit ridiculous.

I'm a Platinum Co-Star member and typically fly 150K EQM per year with lots of Y fare tix purchases making up the 150K EQM miles that I fly. The biggest benefit for Co-Star Plat members in 2008 is priority 1st class upgrades. If a Co-Star members enters the 1st class upgrade queue the day of the flight he/she is immediately sent to the front of the queue, regardless of how many non co-star platinum's may be ahead of him/her on the list.
