Waitlist Cleared Call?
Quick question to pose. I hear CO calls you if your waitlist BF upgrade clears. What if you're not home to get the call? Is it just a recording or do you actually have to interact with someone?
Thanks,
Scott

Hi houstonreadhead, it's an automated message. If you do not answer, it'll leave you a voicemail with the details of which flight cleared the waitlist.

one followup on that topic, if you don't mind.
when you clear the waitlist, do they set aside that inventory for you until contact is made, or is it just 'now available'?

Somewhat off topic
I know, but credit to Continental where due.
Last Saturday I was 3-for-3 on complimentary upgrades.
Monterrey - Houston cleared 24 hours out, and I received notification by e-mail.
Houston - Newark, I was the LAST person called out of my Y seat and invited to sit in 2L.
Newark - Madrid, oversold in Y, approached the counter at the gate, offered to "give up" my seat in Y in exchange for an upgrade, and the supervisor graciously said "I'll be glad to do that for you, sir."
All in all a much more pleasant 20 hours than what I was expecting.

waitlist hasn't cleared
I'm on EWR-IAH on 10/8 at 5:45 am. I haven't been upgraded and there is still one seat up front. I'm guessing I just won't get upgraded at all. My reservation is so messed up that I can't check in online. I guess that's why I haven't been upgraded.
