Upgrade

Hello guys,

Ive been looking for an answer on this for a long time:

I am a Continental OnePass member without elite status. I want to try to use my miles to upgrade to first class when I fly again. It dosent have to only be on Continental, it can be on any of the SkyTeam airlines. How is this possible? Please help me out. It looks like my next trip is going to be ALB-RNO

It will take 30,000 OnePass miles. If you are non-elite then you can only upgrade on B class or higher tickets (used to be V class or higher) - ie not the very discounted tickets.

This may not be a very good deal for you. 45,000 miles - gives you a free FC ticket - but those are hard to get.

Aside from CO, I believe the only other ST you can use your miles on for an upgrade is on Northwest/KLM.
