Amtrak -> Onepass question

I went online and was about to transfer my 15,000 AGR to my Onepass account. Got to the end of the redemption and it said it would 'mail a 15,000 onepass mile reward certificate to me'

Is there anyway I can get the 15,000 AGR directly transferred into my Onepass account. An award certificate for 15,000 miles doesn't do me any good?

Or, can I take the certificate and then mail it in to Onepass to get it creditted to my Onepass account? Then I'd at least have enough miles for a ticket.

thanks

Call AGR. Transfers can't be done online in either direction.

Even though it says a cert will be mailed it is actually electronic. I have transferred 20,00 AGR points to CO this year and all have been electronic. It takes about 1 month.

Thanks TMOTEE & choster,

I called the AGR desk and requested the points -> miles. I was a little worried they were going to mail a paper certificate, which is not what I wanted.

thanks again

I did the same transfer a month ago now, still no sign of the miles in my Onepass account, strange that just calling would make it so much easier...

I've done it three times online in the last four months. You can transfer from Amtrak to CO online, without calling, and no certificate is mailed. The points are transferred from Amtrak to CO electronically. My transactions have averaged about a week to post in my CO account.

The Amtrak site is just wrong regarding Amtrak-CO and Amtrak-Hilton transfers. Both are electronic, and can be done online, despite the message about a certificate being mailed.

Is this recent? Almost all my transfers are the other way, but I don't recall seeing a direct point transfer option on their redemption page. Of course, since there are no longer unreserved trains in the NEC, I have no reason to visit that page any more.

I'm not sure if it's recent or not. I very well could be, as I haven't been transferring Amtrak points to CO until the last few months. I use it as a means of getting my corporate Diners Club card points points to CO since there isn't a direct Diners-CO option anymore.

Of course, CO-Amtrak points still require a phone call.
