Status Match

Considering jumping from US Air after a horrible experience two weeks ago. How hard is it to get a status match with Continental? Is there a number I can call?

Thanks

There are a number of threads on this forum on this topic. Continental does offer status match. A search will give you then details of how to earn the status.

Crappy answer to a new poster. If one cannot offer assistance, post# 3 is better than this upgrademe-esque response. Remember it is quality over quantity.

I completely disagree. The information has been posted in detail on other threads. I won't repeat it. Searching is easy. More importantly, I don't think the thread was started to critique posts!

Actually, for a new poster, I understand it's quantity over quality, giving the 90 needed to see what's really happening here....

Beaum,
I just had a FABULOUS experience with Continental's status match. I simply emailed customer service with my request and they responded with a simple list of things I needed to mail them (e.g copy of my United status card plus a statement showing status). I checked online a few days later and my new status was already posted.

I thought I'd grieve over leaving United (I loved Economy Plus seating), but I moved out of the area they serve best. But I am loving Continental even more - President's Club has free internet access and free cocktails (neither are available at the RCC) and I've been upgraded several times already

I' m a Continental flyer now - not planning to leave ever!
