Customer Care Upgrade Cert: EUA Blocking Bug Still In Effect?
Does anyone have any recent experiences with the Customer Care upgrade certs and blocking EUAs?
Last time I used one of these was about a year ago, and the bug was still there at that time. The bug has always been:
1. Customer requests upgrade on one segment of multi-segment itin.
2. Agent processes upgrade, but leaves record out of sync to ensure customer surrenders certificate at check-in.
3. EUA chokes on customer's out-of-sync record, and bypasses him for possible EUAs on other segments.
4. Once cert is surrendered at check-in, the record is synched back up, and all is well.
Does anyone know if this is still the case?
If so, the only workaround I've ever been able to use is to surrender the certificate before the EUA run. Of course, the CO agents don't instruct you to do this, so the airport agents aren't expecting you to show up 1+ week out to turn in a cert, so they don't want to take it. With a bit of explaining, they've always taken the cert off my hands, noted the record, and synched it back up so EUAs would no longer be blocked.
Just need to know if I should swing by the CO counter on my next airport visit and teach the CO agents how their systems work.
