Trying to find an upgrade....
Hey Everyone-
It's been a while since I've been on here, but it's good to be back. Anyway, I am having difficulty deciding which flight I'll have the greatest possiblity of getting a waitlist upgrade to clear. Originally, I was going to take CO 1481 EWR-SEA on the 24th of September (Sunday) (and it appears that the upgrade did clear), but since they changed the departure time by 20 minutes, it no longer satisfies the MCT requirements (I'll be coming in from YYZ). So I'm looking to book into a flight the next day (Monday), but I wasn't sure which of the two flights I'm looking at has the best chance for a waitlist upgrade. I would've just booked the flight connecting through IAH, but that would entail 3.5 hours on an ERJ and I just can't bring myself to do that.
Those flights are CO 1681 (ex-EWR @ 13:40) and CO 1881 (ex-EWR @ 17:40). Both of them are, of course, zeroed out in the R bucket and the Z bucket. CO1881 has two D bucket tickets available and is showing more open seats in the front though. I'm inclined towards CO1881 for that reason, but if someone has information that might sway the decision to CO1681, I'd be very eager to hear it. Thanks.
