First First Flight on CO
Recently had our first US internal flight with Continental. Splashed out for a first class ticket/seat. When we checked in at the desk the computer said something like "We really value your business so are offering you Elite Access for this flight including........" It then proceeded to print Elite Access all over our boarding passes. We are not members of the CO FF program.
Is this normal ? Did I get anything extra that I should be excited about ?!!
Of course it would have been nice if someone had told us about the Elite Access before we queued up in the regular line to talk to a computer check-in screen....
Oh and the ice cream sundaes were lovely.

First Class passengers receive benefits such as Elite Access. It does make a difference in that you can move through the filter before screening a little faster. Of course, you get to board first which is a big deal too.
It's a pity you didn't know about the Elite Access line: you will the next time you fly with Continental.
I hope you signed up for OnePass. You'll get a bump up in miles--and the all important EQM's--on the flight you took.

Thanks.
We did manage to board first which was good as we got some bin space before everyone else filled up the "real estate". I did have to elbow my way through to the EA line though - through a crowd of people sniffing around for an upgrade at the gate

Glad to hear that you have a good flight on CO. Boarding can be a bit of a hassle. I have learned that if you're elite, you sometimes do have to muscle your way up to the front of the line. Maybe GA's should make an announcement letting all passengers know that those with priority boarding will push through the crowd! In any event, I given those sundae's, I think that this exercise is needed.
