How do I put this to work?

Hello,

I need to travel to SINGAPORE on work.. and want to stopover in either BOM(Bombay) or Chennai Madras (MAA) on the way in or out.

CO.com give me routing to SIN via Tokyo connecting to NWA Tokyo - SIN

How do I route/ snag BOM/ MAA on Continental on the way to SIN - Is it even possible? Maybe with Skyteam partners?

My travel dates are next week

There's no really efficient way to do this all on Skyteam or other CO partners departing from the US. You don't say from where you're departing, but you could take CO's EWR-DEL flight, then just buy a ticket on any carrier DEL-BOM/MAA and then to SIN from BOM or MAA, then fly back from SIN through NRT (or through ICN on KE).

Thanks.... I am flying out of EWR.

I can work this beautifully well on *A with NON STOP flights (EWR - SIN/ SIN - BOM) and return BOM or MAA to EWR via FRA or SIN on Singapore Airlines or Lufthansa. All on either the same Airline and definetely all within Star alliance.

However, I was hoping to work this iteniary out on ST and want to include as much as CO flights.. but looks like I have to buy major chunks of segments outside of the alliance.

Not really major, just SIN-BOM/MAA-SIN. But still much easier to go with Star Alliance on this one. Personally, I'd go with SQ, especially if you're flying C or F.

Thanks CO 1E.... Yes, I am flying SQ this time. ON Return I am thinking of BOM - JFK on EK via Dubai and fly their non stop flight from DXB to JFK.

I've done the EK JFK-DXB flight in C a few times and am a huge fan. Remember that you can only earn CO EQMs on EK's LGW-DXB flights. All other EK flights only earn banked miles on CO, not EQMs.
