Welcome miles
As I will travel a lot between OSL and EWR the next few years, and as CO has the only direct flight between these airports, I have joined onepass. My question relates to the following offer of "welcome miles":
"Activate your OnePass account with a qualifying paid* roundtrip flight taken now through August 31, 2006 and earn 2,500 bonus miles."
Will my August 27 outbound flight qualify for this offer, or must the return trip also be before Aug 31?
In general, are miles credited as you fly or only upon completion of return flight?

Welcome to FT and to Continental!
The way I read what you wrote, it sounds to me that you have to complete the RT before August 31.
If you fly a lot, 2,500 miles won't seem like a lot. How many times are year will you fly between OSL and EWR? Will you fly in coach or in BF. If you fly in coach, will you purchase an H or higher fare?
I ask these questions because you could rapidly move into the Elite ranks of Continental. I think you'll rack up close to 7,400 miles per round trip. If you can plan your trip in advance (I think it's 45 days or two months), you can also book a BusinessFirst fare as a Z class, for somewhere close to $2,500.
It sounds like you won't get those 2,500, I could be wrong, but if you fly a lot, CO will throw a lot of mileage-earning opportunities your way.
