Connection Times

Hi everybody. While what I'm planning to do isn't a MR in the traditional sense, as the cpEQM is 6.8, it's a lot better than any other option, particularly a straight shot, which works out to be nearly 8 cpEQM.

Basically, I was going to do SEA-IAH-FLL-EWR on CO in mid-June. The way I'm looking at it, I have two options. The IAH-FLL flight is supposed to get in at 11:05 AM. There are two flights for FLL-EWR: an 11:30 AM and a 1:30 PM. Now, while the 11:30 doesn't leave much in the way for error in terms of delay (although the other flights are early morning flights, so can't imagine too much in the way of delays), it means I don't have to sit in FLL for 2 and half hours.

If I were to select the 11:30 and missed it, would I have to pay extra to get on the 1:30 (provided there is space). Does FLL have anywhere to charge a laptop? Has anyone flown FLL-EWR in mid June? Do the CO flights tend to fill up? This may be the wrong board, as it isn't a pure MR, so if the admins think that it belongs on the CO board, please move it. Otherwise, thanks for the help.

It's a gray area whether the MR forum is "the wrong board" or not for this thread, but more important is that I think you'll get a better response in the CO forum from those who fly the airline the most. I'll go ahead and move it there so you can get some good insight on the questions you raised.

If CO lets you book it on a single PNR then they consider it to be a legal cxn, so if you miss the flight they'll put you on standby for the next available flight. It will likely be the 1:30, but it could be a later one if the 1:30 is full.

As for the laptop charging, there are outlets on the wall just outside the PC. No seats there, but you can sit on the floor there, and probably see the PC wireless as well.

Did you consider SEA-IAH-PHL? It's consistently inexpensive. If you're headed to NJ after EWR it may prove to be a good alternative to what you propose above.

Tried putting in the SEA-IAH-PHL routing and it came out to be all of 3 dollars cheaper w/ nearly 500 fewer EQMs. But thanks for the suggestion.

sbm12, yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks for all your help guys and gals.

Next time, please create a subject title that actually conveys something more meaningful. It would help everyone if you did. Here's one possibility...

Connection Times: FLL-EWR, 11:30 AM or 1:30 PM?
