Right now Plat reward availability to anywhere is zero (likely for other elites). There is a glitch in the system which has zero availability. If one checks without logging in - there is very limited award availability.

Not sure why CO has not fixed this glitch. It has been around now for a few weeks.

Even when logged in the whole map is blank. Imagine trying to find something...ANYTHING for months on end and seeing a blank calendar....wait...it could be possible

Geez, dont give Plats any more ideas to hose us on. Pretty soon, the Plats will have it so that no awards will be available to Silvers until 24 hours before the flight, because they are too good to plan in advance

Can you give the anti-Plat attitude a rest? I'm not a Plat either. However, I think you've made your point by now.

All elites should be experiencing the same technical difficulties with reward ticket searching/availability. I was having issues before I dropped from Platinum to Silver & I am still having the same problems. Even signing out doesn't seem to help much, so I am going to have to call...

To answer the original question, yes, there is a separate fare class (I can't remember the letter right now) that is specifically called a "Platinum Reward". They will open up before the regular reward seat does.

My issue is that I get some availability when I check for rewards NOT logged in (although very limited).

I get NO availability when LOGGED IN under my Plat ID.

The system has a problem.

Continental is aware of the problem. They've not had any official (or even unofficial) statement on the matter. If I hear something I'll let you know.

I was told today that it is actually also an internal problem, they have G class but not M class available. The (great) agent I was talking to said that (while looking at availability for me), there was a flight she couldn't see but was available on co.com, and she was sending a note to IT. On the upside, I'm going to TLV at the end of the month on standard BF (though the SFO-EWR-SFO parts are in Y)...

The situation freaked me out too......zero availability for the year when signed in. Signing out gets you some availability .......very ironic!!

CO says the glitch will be fixed by 3/22/06 and suggests in the meantime...DO NOT SIGN IN WHEN SEARCHING FOR AWARD SEATS!!

How nice. You'll put your head in the sand over the 24/7 bashing of CO by Plats because what the grub will never be enough, yet all I do is bring it to their attention. Why dont you try operating a business with their isnt a chance in a million to make a profit and have to listen to the $203 transconmen constantly asking for more

Interesting -- I suspected as much from what I've seen on the site and from talking to the reps.

Another interesting thing -- I booked traveling companion into F today (flight is ~1.5 weeks away) on a flight that Amadeus shows as C4 D4 Z4 R0. Is there a separate Platinum upgrade bucket? The fare class for the passenger is now listed as R.
