My travelling agent is usually my dad, but he couldn't get this fare. I saw it on http://www.daka90.co.il and called to see that it wasn't another way to just attract people, but they really ticketed me on that fare....
As for the being a consolidator fare - I have no idea. Regardless of that, as I am booked in T class - and not through CO's website - I am getting only 50% EQMs, but full base miles.

I did list the billing country as Israel - I don't know if they made any difference...

Damn. Looks like I'll need to learn Hebrew in order to use that site.

Good Luck.

Glad to hear it worked out for you...

One thing to consider...the travel agent might have made an improper booking (either deliberately or by mistake) by somehow pricing something they should not be able to.
It probably won't affect your trip, but the TA is likely to receive a debit memo (chargeback) from CO for the fare difference if they constructed something that was not bookable. A travel agent can pretty much book and ticket anything they want - if it's not legitimate, they will just get charged back for the fare difference.

Years ago, when I did my internships on the marketing side, I worked closely with TAs and they were always showing me debit memos they wanted me to get waived for some very crazy and creative things they did to issue tickets. Sometimes it was for a legitimate mistake, and other times they were under pressure from a client to get the ticket done in a sold out discounted class. Either way, eventually the envelope showed up from the airline in question containing their debit memo for the fare difference.

These are fares released to consolidators that you won't see online, and certainly not on Co.com. I just booked a flight to PEK. I asked my Chinatown travel agent to book me on U, but I could've gotten a slightly lower fare (by about $150) but I would get 50% EQM for that. Since I want my status I didn't bite. I suppose I could've tried what you did and call them up and ask, but it's close to travel date and I didn't want to pay for the ticket and then find out I can only get 50% EQM
I think if CO knows they can sell out the flight through their own website and the consolidator fares, they don't need to sell you the tickets on CO.com. That right is theirs, and they can choose to sell the tickets however they like.
