Side Sleeping in BF

Side sleepers-is it possible to sleep in the "new" BF seats on the B777 long-haul flights?

Definitely. I am a side sleeper and I think the new 777 seats are quite good for us side sleepers. I take my own pillow and prop that between the armrest and myself to give some additional support.

Side Sleeping

I too am a side sleeper and find the 777 BF seats great for this. While it's still not a true lie-flat bed and there is an ongoing issue of "sliding down" the seat, I've managed to have some great sleep on my side there. I find the BF seats to be extra wide, allowing extra room to curl up and get good sleep.

I've haven't been as lucky on the 767 BF seat, but you will sleep fine on the 777 on your side.

It is! It's actually fairly comy as well! I am very particular about what I am sleeping on, and the BF seats have never been an issue.

Yes, and we ask that you pull the little hoodie up off the top of your seat so we dont have to stare at the top of your head, and as always, keep the platulence to a minimum.

I am a generally stomach sleeper and I don't have any problems on the 777 BF seat. Out of all the ways to sleep, I did find the side to be the most comfortable though. I have to say though, that when I've loaded up on sleeping pills that I could be upside down and still sleep.

I'm a big guy and 6' 5" tall and have had no problems side sleeping on the CO 777. I did EWR~PEK run last August and I'm on same run again 2/24 . I think that the 777 seats are wider than other biz seats.

That's what they advertise anyway.

Has anyone tried to spread out a foam yoga pad over the seat? It works wonders...you don't have to practice yoga but it will soften and minimize the hard edges of the seat.
