Fare code/cost release question
Hello,
Sorry in advance if this is a newbe question: I seached the forum but couldn't quite figure it out.
I'd like to travel to Dublin on CO this summer. Specifically, I'm looking at
June 6: SFO->EWR CO 549 (Class I)
June 6: EWR->DUB CO 126 (Class I)
June 20: DUB->EWR CO 23 (Class I)
June 20: EWR->SFO CO 348 (Class I)
I can price that out at $738 + $79(tax) = $817 (total)
From what I gather, different fare classes price out at different amounts. My question is: does CO release cheaper tickets closer to the departure date? Or, is it better to buy as early as possible? It seems that the price changes from day to day.
As a very poor grad student who has to travel for a conference, I'd like to know if any of you have thoughts on the best time to buy.
