Program changes for 2006

Has anyone seen anything? This is poor service to leave this so late.
Some of us who fly all the time are needing to make reservations in January. Are we to use the DL/CO/KLM/NW group and if so which program?
I am currently former IAH and EWR resident happens to live in DTW area and still run the CO Platinum. Waiting for reason to switch to NW since they upgrade me all the time. How to keep us Houston expats in line if they don't talk to us this late in the year?
What about AA or UA from Chicago? the New US/AW?
Does CO forget there are other airlines trying to "poach" their plats and that the ones outside of IAH, EWR, CLE are the most vulnerable?
Why the silence?

The sound of silence....

Better than the sound of a freight train, or the 150 dB of the power turbine end of a GE 90!

Must assume status quo.

Same question being asked on NW & DL forums. Makes you wonder if something is up...

There have been changes made throughout the year - like the upgrade priority per fare code. No need to make changes at years end.

Generally major changes were announced around the September timeframe.

Since there were none announced this year, and it's been 3 months since September, it's probably safe to say there will be no substantive changes.

Minor tweaks they do from time to time, but major changes (aka "enhancements" ) are probably not going to happen for 2006.

Well any changes announced prior to January 27th are bound to get CO quite a bit of feedback!

According to the thread below in the NW forum, major changes will be coming to Worldperks for 2006, but they won't be announced UNTIL the end of January. Sounds like NW is looking to either delight and surprise or shock, awe, anger and surprise. I pick the later if this is true.

I wouldn't put any water in that glass...this is speculation from one poster who is not an insider, with no evidence to back it up. Until I see some evidence the poster knows what they're talking about, I just dont see anything bad happening, especially as the airline in question did a double EQM promo to stop the poaching of its elite customers by United....to turn around and screw those same customers it worked so hard to retain, would result in a violent response that would rival what USAir suffered when it tried to bamboozle its customers a few years ago.

Now, a merger announcement in that timeframe...that would be different

But, the merger has already begun . See confirmation in the following thread

Additionally, I find it hard to beleive that if NW is going to announce its 2006 FF program the weekend of January 28th, that won't be some kind of announcement by Larry at the January 28th afternoon Q & A. He will then have the barbeque to defend any changes, plus or minus.

For better or for worse, I don't think CO is going to incur the time and expense for two focus group meetings in a 9 month period, unless some major changes are in the works.

The phrase "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" comes to mind.
