General information
I am taking vacation in July of 06 to Alaska. I am flying continental airlines for the very first time. I would like to know a little about the airline before I fly. Anything like are the staff friendly, are they usually on time, things like that. Any information that anyone can give me about that would be greatly appreciated. I am looking forward to flying on Continental but just wanted some information about them and are most people who fly with them happy or disappointed. Thanks again

Flying is like taking the bus these days. My best advice is to expect nothing. Would you ask whether the Greyhound employee is friendly or not? That's setting yourself up for disaster (or at least disappointment).
Having said that, CO is a pretty well-run airline. Flights seldom get cancelled, mechanicals are not worse than industry-norm. And you do get fed, for free.
Flying these days is to get to your vacation. It's not part of the vacation. With that mindset, you'll be okay.

Don't forget that CO serves snacks at mealtimes, no buy on board, but if you got an appitite brown-bagging it is a good idea.
