Holding a reservation question

If I want to reserve a flight today Saturday but can't make a decision to purchase until Monday, what are my options?
From an earlier thread, it appears that the reservation hold function on co.com is being or has been changed?
What has been your most recent experience?

You are out of luck due to this week's removal of CO.com's "hold" functionality. Then again, even if it were still there you could only hold the tickets until midnight central time tomorrow night.

So you "buy" then request a refund before 24 hours later, then buy again, etc. all done on co.com?

As someone suggested in an earlier thread, it looks like you can reserve an itinerary until midnight of the next day if you choose one of the cash payment options. Go through the purchasing functions and when you get to payment method, scroll down to cash payments. It looks like there will be a small transaction fee depending on option. (and also an inconvenience fee from my standpoint) I'm not sure if Platt's are exempt from the fees or not. While not expedient, it looks like it is still a viable option.

With the removal of hold reservation, how does one book a ticket on co.com with the $100 off voucher or $99.00 companion ticket coupons from the prestige packs, and still get 100 EQM's ?

My guess is that co.com will charge you full price and then you will need to contact the CO res or web support and have them credit the discount amount back to your credit card. Seems like alot more work for their agents.

Has anybody come accross this yet ?

I emailed we-care that same question. They responded that they believe there is or will be a 3 hour hold. They said they'd get back to me with details shortly.
